Gillian Kinsella Jewellery is a sustainable jewellery brand dedicated to producing high quality colourful pieces to bring joy to the everyday.

Founded in 2023 by independent award winning jeweller Gillian.

I am based in sunny Dundee where I live and work.  My family and I moved to Dundee in October 2022 and this move brought with it the opportunity for me to finally set up Gillian Kinsella Jewellery.  After graduating in 2010 from Jewellery Design and Silversmithing at the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham this has been a dream of mine.  In the years in between; I worked as a goldsmith, trained and worked as a teacher, got married and had two amazing children.

Gillian Kinsella Jewellery has long been a dream of mine however, I am conscious of the impact such practices could have on the planet if not done responsibly.  Advances in technology and a change in focus from the jewellery industry towards sustainability and ethics mean I can finally run a business with as little impact on the environment as possible.  All the metals I use are recycled, enamels are lead free and stones are sustainably sources.  The processes I use for making each piece are well considered with as little wastage as possible, all packaging is made from the most environmentally options.  

The ethos of Gillian Kinsella Jewellery is to create beautiful jewellery well with little impact on the environment. My work is inspired by shapes, colour and repetition.  I also teach jewellery making with Vanilla Ink the Smiddy in Banff.
